Its ability to penetrate deep into the skin tissue helps to transport other ingredients that cannot penetrate through the skin on their own. The rich Squalene content imparts anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, and anti-oxidation properties to the skin along with reversing and protecting skin from UV damage. Astaxanthin, often referred to as "the King of Antioxidants" is produced from the microalgae Haematococcus Pluvialis, the richest known natural source of this antioxidant. Bakuchiol is derived from Psoralea Corylifolia Linn, a plant that has been used in Ayurvedic and other traditional medicines for a wide range of uses. Bakuchiol contains similar antiaging effects as Retinol without any of the skin-irritating effects. Bakuchiol signals your cells to regenerate and make collagen. Unlike retinol, which can be harsh and should only be used at night, bakuchiol can be used in the a.m. and p.m. Research has shown that bakuchiol has a range of anti-aging benefits for skin. Castor Seed Oil
Castor Oil delays signs of aging by deeply moisturizing, softening and soothing the skin, boosting elasticity, and stimulating collagen production. Ricinoleic acid in castor oil can deeply penetrate the skin due to its long carbon chain, moisturizing from the inside out and helping retain moisture by forming a protective barrier on the skin's surface. Its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties make Castor Oil effective for treating acne-prone skin, as it penetrates the skin easily without clogging pores or aggravating the skin condition. The comedogenicity rating of castor oil is 1, meaning it is very unlikely to clog pores and suitable for all skin types, including acne prone.

For those with oily or acne-prone skin, activated Charcoal can help manage the overproduction of sebum, which is responsible for bigger pores. Enlarged pores tend to get clogged with oil, dirt and dead skin cells, potentially leading to uneven skin texture and breakouts. Charcoal can act as a magnet for impurities, drawing them out of the skin. This is based on its highly porous structure, which gives it a large surface area for trapping impurities. Orange Seed Oil (not to be confused with its essential oil counterpart, is a cold-pressed carrier seed oil). Despite it being extracted from the seeds, it does NOT have limonene that has been shown to cause skin photo- sensitivity. Orange essential oil contains limonene because it's extracted from the rind of the orange. Orange seed oil, on the other hand, is a cold-pressed oil derived from the seeds of the orange, which contain different compounds including Vitamin C, fatty acids, carotenoids and potent antioxidants.
